Conference Speakers

Jim Van Yperen is the President of Metanoia Ministries.  Prior to founding Metanoia, Jim spent twelve years leading his own creative communications business serving leaders of national and international non-profit organizations.  Jim has written two books and many articles and resources on the subject of conflict reconciliation and spiritual leadership formation.  Jim is a gifted speaker and teacher who has led seminars and conferences in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.  He has been featured on various radio and television broadcasts with Michael Card, Moody Radio, and Christianity Today.  Jim serves Christian leaders in strategic thinking and spiritual formation.  Jim graduated from Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Theology and in Interpersonal Communications in 1978 and a Master of Arts degree in Cross-Cultural Communications in 1980.

Alvin Sanders  Following years of urban ministry in Chicago and Cincinnati, Dr. Sanders along with his wife Caroline, started River of Life Church in downtown Cincinnati in the midst of civil unrest over the shooting death of an African-American teenager by a white police officer.  River of Life was planted as a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, economically diverse church with a heart for reconciliation.  While serving as founding pastor, he also served as Director of Ethnic Ministries for Cincinnati Christian University.  Presently, Alvin serves as Executive Director of Reconciliation (EFCA Samaritan Way).  EFCA Samaritan Way is a division of the Evangelical Free Church of America that has a mission to reverse division, multiplying Kingdom growth  (www.efca.org/samaritanway).  A noted authority on reconciliation, Dr. Sanders travels often to consult, teach and preach on the unique theological, social and cultural issues concerning diversity and Christian organizations.  He has been named an adjunct professor at institutions such as Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. He also is the author of Reconciliation 101:  A Handbook for Ministry Leaders.

Travel east on NH Route 9, past "The Big Deal" on your right.  Take the next right; which is Old Chesterfield Road. **Turn left onto Tuttle Road.  Take the second right onto the Old Swanzey Road.  Grace Community Church is the second driveway on the left; approx 3/10ths of a mile up the road.

 

From Keene, NH:

Travel west on NH Route 9, past Howard's Leather on your right.  Take the next left; which is Old Chesterfield Road. Then see directions above from Tuttle Road!
