1. NEDA Conference 2008

The annual NEDA Conference will be April 3-5, 2008 at Valley Bible EFC in Haddam, CT. We are blessed to have D.A. Carson from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School as our keynote speaker while we focus on Engaging Culture:  Touching and Reaching the Lost All Around Us.  Jim Fann, EFCA National Church Health Director and Tom Shirk, Senior Pastor of Calvary Bible Church will be sharing an extended seminar on Thursday April 3rd on How to Become an Externally Focused Church.  Finally on Saturday we have a variety of seminars on topics including:  Prayer Walking, Children's Ministries, Youth Workers,  Church Planting, Leadership, Peacemakers, and a Roundtable discussion on the Externally Focused Church.  Please register now either online at www.efcneda.org or through the mail (see attached brochure).  Deadline for registrations (to include meals and host housing) is March 14th!  If you have any questions please contact the NEDA office at 860-674-9541 or LRand7777@aol.com

2.  Praise and Continued Prayer for TJ

First, as we have not posted this officially yet, TJ was discharged on Monday at 2:45pm. He is physically capable of everyday tasks -- sans driving -- but is still very weak (his words). He is feeling alright but still just exhausted in general, and so is settling into a new routine that includes a lot of naps. Nonetheless, he is quite happy to be home again.

We do appreciate your continued prayers, especially regarding recovery. TJ has already been recovering faster than he is "supposed to," but this is something that will probably take months to complete.

The truth is there is still a long road ahead for us a family. It seems odd to not be running on adrenaline 24/7, and I don't think that this experience has really hit any of us yet. In the middle it's not real. In the middle you don't have time to let it hit you, and if you do, you don't have the energy.  We are all going to live through this for real, for the first time as TJ continues to want to learn more about what happened. It's been a long December, and it's not even over yet...
