1. Children's Ministry Summit
WE’RE B-A-A-A-CK! The NEDA Children’s Ministry
Summit “Handprints on Lives” has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 6, 2010 from 9AM – 3PM at Wethersfield E. Free Church.
The summit is designed for anyone working with children – Sunday School teachers, SS Superintendents, club workers,
etc. The theme is: What kind of handprint does the home,
school, friends or church leave on children? Dr. Skip Lewis from Lancaster Bible College will be the keynote speaker. Registration materials have been
sent to all churches. Please note that online registration is available at the
Wethersfield EFC website. For questions please call Cindy Nicewonger, Director of Children’s Ministries at WEFC - 860-563-8286 or
email: child.min@wethefc.com
2. Thank you from Mark & Tina Overmyer
I’d like to express gratitude on behalf of Tina and our
family for NEDA’s continued generosity toward
us. We have been blessed this past year to see our girls establish
themselves in their undergraduate studies and to find that despite the empty
nest, we still like being together as a couple. It was a memory-making
year for us, highlighted by a month-long sabbatical spent in Europe writing and eating too much.
Additionally, I furthered significant kingdom partnerships on many fronts
including New England and Asia; the latter as a result of two trips to Myanmar last year. The former resulting in a growing cadre of
ministry partners who believe that it’s realistic to see a new congregation
emerge in their context in the next 3 years by God’s grace if we concentrate on
ministering along a “centerline” that includes Engage Culture, Facilitate
Community, Mobilize for Multiplication, and Structure Congregations. Our
principled center approach to training, coaching and assessing is clearing the
confusion over the formerly complex task of church planting and is seeing more
and more laborers entering the harvest. My joy in participating in this
process is something for which I owe our Lord and you a debt of thanks.
