1.  Changes in the NEDA Office- new email address!

2.  NEDA Women’s Retreat Reminder Sept. 10-12, 2010

“Simply God” NEDA Women’s Retreat will take place at Camp Spofford.  Margaret Feinberg

3.  NEDA Men's Retreat Reminder Sept. 24-26, 2010

4.  NEDA Pastors’ Conference Dec. 3, 2010

The NEDA Pastors’ Conference will be held Dec. 3, 2010 at Wethersfield, CT EFC with Dr. Grant Osborne from TEDS. All NEDA pastors and ministry staff are invited to attend! Go to our website, www.efcneda.org, for more information, online registration, directions and schedule.   

5.  NEDA Pastor and Staff Prayer Retreat Jan. 11-13, 2011

Mark your calendars:  the NEDA Pastor and Staff Prayer Retreat will be held January 11-13, 2011 at Camp Spofford.  This retreat is open to all pastors, staff and lay leaders.  The speaker will be Fritz Dale, the Executive Director for the EFCA National Ministries.  More details coming soon!

6.  Bridgeport Fellowship I CARE Outreach ministry opportunities

Dear Friend of our I CARE Outreach,

Greetings in Christ!

Can you join us in helping to meet back to school supplies for needy students in Bridgeport?   Considering these tough economic times families are struggling even more to provide school supplies. 

Our goal is to share love in this city by giving backpacks loaded with school supplies to needy students in Bridgeport.  Please see http://www.efcneda.org/pubs/2010BacktoSchoolNeeds.doc to fill a backpack loaded for school supplies.  Working directly with the Principal and Social Worker in Bridgeport Schools we will begin distributing backpacks from the week of August 22nd through September 10th.

You and your group can help meet basic school supplies for students in need.  Please call if you need further info and to coordinate delivery.

7.  Prayer Request

Please continue to pray earnestly for Pastor Dave McIntyre (senior pastor of Calvary EFC, Trumbull, CT) and his wife Andrea. Please check out his blog at www.calvaryefc.com for the most up-to-date, detailed information.   

 

Pastor Dave McIntyre experienced an atrial fibrilation “episode” with his heart and was prescribed some medication just in case it happened again.  Recently, too, he has been given antibiotics for an elevated temperature.  Please pray that the antibiotics will do their job and his temperature will return to normal.
